Bond Out 815-319-6614

A Bond Out fee of $50.00 is charged in addition to the required bond amount. 

Bond and bond fee must be posted in person at the Bond Out office. The entrance to the Bond Out office is separate from the main entrance and is located off of West State Street.

Inmates either being bonded out or released can be picked up at the Bond Out office. The length of time to process an inmate for release may vary.

Commissary Money

Funds remaining on an inmate's account are deposited onto a debit card and issued to the inmate at the time of release. Once the debit card is issued the cardholder must contact Release Pay for any questions or concerns at http://www.releasepay.com/ or Customer Service Toll Free 877-592-1118 24-hour Automated Support - Live Agent 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. MST. If an inmate is transferred to an IDOC location, their commissary money will be sent to that facility.  If an inmate is transferred to another county or another state their funds will remain in their account until they either return in person and a debit card will be issued or; request the funds to be transferred by writing the Trust Fund Officer, Winnebago County Jail, 650 W. State Street, Rockford, IL 61102 and including the name and address of the facility they are currently in and their inmate ID number assigned from that facility.  Funds absolutely will not be released to anyone other than the inmate.

Commissary Order

Depending on when a commissary order is placed and when an inmate is released will determine if a commissary order is credited back to the inmate (and placed on the debit card) or the order is filled.  Filled orders can be picked up at the Corrections Administration Office after 3:00 p.m. on the Thursday after the order is filled.

Normal Corrections Administration hours are 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Commissary orders that are not picked up within 10 business days are forfeited.

Inmate Property

An inmate's property (unless seized for evidence) is given back to the inmate at the time of release. It is the responsibility of the inmate to verify all property, including medication, is returned.

If property is seized for evidence, the arresting law enforcement agency or the State's Attorney's Office should be contacted regarding release.
