Death Investigation

On December 31, 1993 the body of 15yr old Stephanie L. Johnston was found in the Rock River near Rockton Illinois.

The death investigation was conducted by Winnebago County Sheriff’s Detective’s and the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office.

The cause of death was determined to be drowning and the manner of death was un-determined.

Terrence P. Doddy (male DOB 9-23-77) is in custody charged with two un-related murders.

It was determined that Stephanie Johnston and Terrence Doddy had gone to High School together and at one time had a dating relationship.

Based on the above circumstances the death investigation was reviewed.

Physical evidence was re-evaluated and additional interviews were conducted with family and friends.

No new information was developed nor did any information surface that indicated Terrence P. Doddy was involved in the death of Ms. Johnston.

The death remains classified as un-determined manner.
