Murder

   On Saturday May 7, 2011 at approximately 3:11a.m. Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies were sent to 4825 Linden Rd, Rockford, Illinois in reference to a stabbing. Upon arrival deputies found a 39yr old male in the parking lot with a stab wound to the chest. He was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead. A suspect was located at the scene and detained.  Information developed through investigation by Sheriff’s Detectives indicated that a confrontation took place in the parking lot, which resulted in the stabbing.  The investigation is on-going and further information will be released when the victims family has been contacted and charges authorized against the suspect.
