Arrest For Violation Of The Illinois Controlled Substance Act

INFORMATION RELEASE

2008-18   On Wednesday April 30, 2008 Winnebago County Sheriff’s Detectives arrested 33yr old Alfredo Estrada (AKA Francisco Diaz) for Violation of the Illinois Controlled Substances Act (Possession of more than 15grams of cocaine with the intent to deliver). The arrest resulted from an undercover investigation conducted by Sheriff’s Detectives during which Estrada delivered cocaine to an undercover officer. The arrest took place in the parking lot of a grocery store on Rockford’s east side. Approximately seven ounces of cocaine was recovered during the investigation. Estrada is being held in the Winnebago County Jail. The charges against Estrada are merely accusations. He is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
