Child Sexual Abuse Allegation

On May 27, 2014 Detectives of the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department were requested to assist Officers of the South Beloit Police Department with a sexual abuse investigation.

On May 26, 2014 the South Beloit Police Department took a report in reference to an allegation of sexual abuse of a female child while on a school bus transporting children to the Prairie Hill School, on Willowbrook Rd. in South Beloit.

A school bus driver is suspected in the abuse.

A criminal investigation is being conducted by Sheriff’s Detectives.

No one has been arrested at this point.

School authorities and DCFS have been made aware of the investigation.
