Homicide

   On Saturday December 27, 2008 Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies and medical personnel were sent to 6441 Alice Lane, Rockton, Illinois in regards to a medical assist. Upon arrival a 65yr old female was located in the basement of the home with trauma to her head. She was deceased. Sheriff’s detectives and crime scene officers, as well as representatives of the coroner’s office were called to the scene and preliminary investigation indicates that the death was the result of a homicide. The coroner’s office will release the victims name once all family members have been contacted. HOUNSELL. MS HOUNSELL WAS A WIDOW AND LIVED ALONE AT THE RESIDENCE.
