Sheriff Meyers New Years Eve Ride Home Program

   Narrative:   Sheriff Richard A. Meyers announces the A30th Annual Sheriff=s New Year=s Eve Ride Home Program@ Starting Friday, December 31^st, 2010, at 11:00 P.M. and ending at 4:00 A.M. Saturday, January 1^st, 2011, the Winnebago County Sheriff=s Office will be conducting their 30^th Annual ASheriff=s New Year=s Eve Ride Home Program.@  As has been done in the past, the purpose of this program is to provide free rides from any location in Winnebago County to your home in Winnebago County.  If you or someone you know has had too much to drink and needs a ride home, please call (815) 639 - 4674 for a free ride home. However, due to New Year=s Eve being a busy time for the Sheriff=s Office, we ask that if you need a ride home, you first try to make alternate arrangements before calling the Winnebago County Sheriff=s Office. This program continues to reduce the number of intoxicated drivers on the road on New Year=s Eve, and together, we can help keep drunk drivers off the highways and make the holiday and roadways safer for the motoring public.   NOTE: For further information, please contact the Winnebago County Sheriff=s Office, Deputy Chief Scott Meyers at (815) 319-6313.
