On Thursday August 26, 2010, shortly after midnight a fatal traffic accident took place at the intersection of Newburg and Perryville Rd. Killed in the accident was the driver and only occupant of one vehicle, Christopher J. Krenzer, 20yrs old of Garden Prairie, Illinois. The driver and only occupant of the second vehicle has been charged with Driving Under The Influence of Alcohol (involving a death). He is identified as 20 yr old Justin L. Bartlett of Rockford. Bartlett has been lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. The charge against Bartlett is merely an accusation. He is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
