On Sunday May 20, 2012 at approximately 4:25 P.M. Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies were sent to the area of 2312 Illinois St, in regards to a found pontoon boat. Upon arrival they found an empty pontoon boat on the east cement boat ramp that leads from the Rock River. The pontoon was un-occupied. The pontoon is owned by Terry J. McFaddin (52yrs old of Loves Park, Illinois.) McFaddin had dropped off friends at the Verdi club between 3 and 3:30a.m.on Sunday 5-20-12. He was last seen northbound on the river in the pontoon alone, headed towards his home. A search of the Rock River was conducted by the Rockford Fire Department and McFaddin was not located. An additional search of the river is being conducted today by Sheriff’s Department boats and personnel, as well as an Illinois Department of Conservation boat. McFaddin is described as a W/M (dob 1-2-60/5’8”, 210lbs, gray hair/brn eyes). He was wearing blue shorts and a plaid shirt.
