Murder

On Sunday May 4,2014 Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies were sent to 4211 Crandall Ave in reference to a possible person deceased in a vehicle.

Upon arrival deputies found a tan Buick backed partially into the front yard of the vacant home. There was a male in the driver’s seat of the vehicle, deceased.

It appeared as though the victim had been shot.

The Winnebago County Coroner’s office arrived at the scene and took control of the victim. An autopsy will be scheduled.

At this point the name of the victim is not being released until family has been contacted.

Winnebago County Sheriff’s Detectives have initiated a homicide investigation.
