Murder/ 1421 Labelle Ave

   On Sunday March 24, 2013 Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies were sent to 1421 Labelle Ave Rockford, Illinois in reference to a person dead in the garage. Deputies arrived on the scene and entered the garage and found the body of a male in his late 40’s, deceased. He had gunshot wounds, and is the victim of an apparent homicide. His identity will be released by the Coroner’s office once notification to relatives has been made. An autopsy will be conducted. No arrest has been made and Winnebago County Sheriff’s Detectives are investigating.  Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department (815/319-6300) or CrimeStoppers (815/963-7867). UPDATE:The victim of the homicide has been identified as the resident of 1421 LaBelle Ave, William S. Presley (male DOB 7-30-65/47yrs old). The investigation is on-going.
