Narcotic Arrest

    On  Tuesday August 17,2010 members of the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Police Metro Narcotic Unit conducted a narcotic investigation which resulted in the arrest of a Rockford resident and the recovery of over five ounces of raw heroin, valued at approximately $20,000.00 and the seizure of over $9,000.00 in cash. Franklyn X. Hopson, 24yrs old was charged with two counts of Violation of the Illinois Controlled Substances Act (Possession of heroin with intent to deliver). He is being held in the Winnebago County Jail. Hopson was arrested after his vehicle was stopped and his apartment searched. The charges against Hopson are merely allegations. He is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. A photo of Hopson accompanies this release.
