On Monday January 20, 2014 shortly after 2:00a.m. the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department received a call of a medical assist at Legends Bar, 618 Superior Ave Machesney Park, Illinois.
Upon arrival deputies located 40yr old Michael S. Eash Jr. (Machesney Park). Eash was un-conscious and was transported to a Rockford Hospital.
It was determined that Eash had a severe internal head injury and has undergone surgery and is listed in critical condition.
Preliminary investigation has determined that Eash had a confrontation with an unknown white male and was pushed to the pavement. This took place just outside of the bar in an enclosed smoking area.
Winnebago County Sheriff’s detectives are conducting an investigation.

UPDATE TO AGGRAVATED BATTERY INVESTIGATION:
ATTACHED TO THIS RELEASE ARE STILL PHOTOS FROM SURVEILLANCE CAMERA’S AT LEGENDS BAR. THE PHOTOS DEPICT TWO WHITE MALES. THE SUBJECT WITH THE STRIPE SHIRT IS THE SUSPECT IN THIS CASE. THE OTHER MALE WAS WITH THE SUSPECT.
ANYONE WITH INFORMATION CONCERNING WHO THEY ARE IS URGED TO CALL THE SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT OR CRIMESTOPPERS AT THE ABOVE NUMBERS.
