Boating Safety Classes

  NARRATIVE: The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Police will be hosting two (2), Illinois Department of Natural Resources certified boat safety classes.  These classes will be held at the Winnebago County Justice Center on May 10^th and 17^th, 2008, and are free of charge.  Persons who complete this training meet the Illinois State Statute requirements for boat operators between 12 years old and 18 years old to be able to operate a boat / personal water craft without direct adult supervision.  This class is open to anyone 10 years of age and older.  To sign up for either class, please call (815) 319-6300 any time.
