Burglary Arrests/ 1420 Blue Ridge Ave.

  On Sunday March 24, 2013 47yr old William S. Presley was found shot to death in the garage of his residence at 1421 LaBelle Ave. No arrest has been made on this case and it is still under active investigation by Winnebago County Sheriff’s Detectives. Anyone with information is asked to call the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department (815/319-6400) or CrimeStoppers (815/963-7867). William Presley owned a large storage shed at the rear of his property with an address of 1420 Blue Ridge. It was determined that sometime after the murder of Presley the shed had been burglarized. Investigation into the burglary by Sheriff’s Detectives has led to the arrests of two Rockford residents. Both are charged with Burglary. Property has been recovered. At this point in the investigation there is no indication that the murder and burglary are linked. CHARGED;-       James M. Gallagher (DOB 5-9-94/18YRS OLD)-       Jeremy O. Clarke (DOB 5-20-91/21YRS OLD) The charges against Gallagher and Clarke are merely accusations. They are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in Court.
