Connie R. Heerdt of Rockford was found murdered on Tuesday January 15, 1991 at 10:44 a.m. in the parking lot behind Doyle's Circle K Lounge, 3911 Sandy Hollow Road.
The Winnebago County Coroner concluded the cause of death to be asphyxia due to manual strangulation.
An investigation by the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department determined that Connie worked as a prostitute in the area.
