Winnebago County Sheriff Gary Caruana is pleased to announce the expansion of Crime Stoppers within the confines of the County Jail.
This initiative will give inmates the opportunity to contact Crime Stoppers free and anonymously to report criminal activity and provide information on unsolved crimes in the Winnebago County region.
The inmates who provide information leading to the arrest of a fugitive or the solving a crime will be eligible for a cash reward.
Sheriff Caruana recognizes the need to use every available resource in an effort to enhance public safety and build safer communities.
