Narrative:
WINNEBAGO COUNTY SHERIFF’S POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A TWO VEHICLE CRASH AT 8:46 THIS MORNING AT 5200 GUILFORD ROAD. WITNESSES SAY A WESTBOUND RED MAZDA RX8 DRIVEN BY A 24 YEAR OLD MALE SWERVED INTO THE EASTBOUND LANE OF TRAFFIC AND WAS STRUCK BY AN EASTBOUND SILVER FORD TAURUS DRIVEN BY A 33 YEAR OLD FEMALE. BOTH DRIVERS HAVE DIED FROM THEIR INJURIES. THEIR NAMES HAVE NOT BEEN RELEASED YET. THERE WERE NO PASSENGERS IN EITHER VEHICLE.
GUILFORD ROAD HAS REOPENED TO TRAFFIC AFTER BEING SHUT DOWN FOR SEVERAL HOURS.
