On the afternoon of Tuesday December 4, 2013(3:50P.M.) members of the Winnebago County Violent Crime Task Force took Delaneo D. Love (male/dob 8-13-86/27yrs old) into custody.
Love was wanted on outstanding warrants for Aggravated Battery with a Firearm and Possession of a Firearm by a gang member. The bond is $500,000.00.
The Task Force consists of Detectives of the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department, the Rockford Police Department, the Loves Park Police Department, the Illinois State Police and Agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The Task Force works in close cooperation with the FBI and DEA.
Delaneo Love is a reputed member of the Moe street gang. The Moe gang is a violent criminal organization.
Love has been a wanted fugitive since June 1,2013. An intense investigation has taken place by the Task Force to locate him. He was considered very dangerous.
The warrants are a result of a shooting which took place in the Parking lot of the North Towne Mall.
Love was located in a vehicle which had been under surveillance by the Task Force. The vehicle was stopped on the Illinois Toll way in the area of Riverside Blvd. by the Task Force Detectives.
There were no injuries during the arrest. Love was a rear passenger in the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, Delmetra Pomlee (female dob 8-30-86/27yrs old) was charged with Driving after Suspension.
The second passenger, Anthony K. Bland (male dob 1-1-80/33yrs old) was charged with possession of marijuana.
The charges are merely accusations. All are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
