Information: Impersonation of a Police Officer

On Wednesday April 30, 2014 at approximately 10:30P.M. a female reported that she was in the area of Harrison Ave and Mulford Rd when a dark colored Pontiac attempted to stop her vehicle. She advised that the vehicle was equipped with flashing red and blue lights on the inside of the front windshield.

 

The vehicle was occupied two males and the lady did not believe they were actually Police Officers. She continued to drive and pulled into a gas station and the vehicle fled the area.

 

The vehicle was spotted by Police Officers later and fled from the Officers on two occasions.

 

Winnebago County Sheriff’s Detectives initiated an investigation and the vehicle was identified and since impounded. Two males have been taken into custody and charged.

 

#1 Lawrence R. Jackson Jr. (male DOB 9-4-91 22yrs old/Rockford)

 

-       Attempt False Personation of a Peace Officer

-       False Personation of a Peace Officer

-       Fleeing to elude a Peace Officer

-       Violation of the Cannabis Control Act.

 

#2 Earl E. Jones (male DOB 8-27-85 28yrs old/Rockford)

 

-       False Personation of a Peace Officer

-       Attempt False Personation of a Peace Officer

-       Violation of the Cannabis Control Act.

 

Both men are lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. They are both presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
