Murder Arrest/ Victim (eric Michael Johnson)

   On Thursday December 30, 2010 Eric Michael Johnson (29yrs old) was shot and killed at 2005 Weldon Rd. Winnebago County Sheriff’s Detectives investigated the case and reviewed the results of the investigation with the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s office. The investigation has led to two arrests. -       CORY L.RICHARDSON (male 21yrs old/DOB 10-16-89)-       THOMAS J. STUEN ( male 28yrs old/DOB 1-31-83) Richardson is charged with First Degree Murder and Home Invasion. Stuen is charged with Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery. Richardson lives in Zion, Illinois, but was arrested in Rockford on Monday 1-31-11.  Stuen is a Rockford resident. Both are being held in the Winnebago County Jail.  The charges are merely allegations and Richardson and Stuen are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. Photos of both will be E-Mailed to the media. 4:30P.M. UPDATE THE CHARGES AGAINST STUEN HAVE NOW BEEN UPGRADED TO FIRST DEGREE MURDER, HOME INVASION AND ARMED ROBBERY. THE CHARGES WERE AUTHORIZED BY THE WINNEBAGO COUNTY STATE’S ATTORNEY’S OFFICE.
