Murder/ Perryville And Linden Rd.11/14/11

 On Saturday November 12, 2011 at approximately 1:43a.m. Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies were sent to Perryville and Linden Rd. in regards to a shooting. Upon arrival the deputies located a vehicle in a field off the roadway with a male behind the wheel of the vehicle. The male was deceased and had an apparent gunshot wound. Preliminary information developed at the scene indicates that shots were fired, possibly from another vehicle, and a round penetrated a window of the victim’s vehicle and he was struck, then lost control of the vehicle and crashed. At this point the name of the victim is not being released until a positive identification has been made and the victim’s family is contacted. Winnebago County Sheriff’s Detectives are conducting a follow-up investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department (815/3196300) or Crime-Stoppers (815/9637867). UPDATE ( 11:30a.m. / 11-12-11)  THE VICTIM HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AS:-       BRANDON M. WRIGHT (MALE 23YRS OLD/ DOB 12-30-87) OF ROCKFORD. UPDATE ( 9:00A.M./ MONDAY 11-14-11) -       THE INVESTIGATION HAS RESULTED IN A WARRANT BEING ISSUED FOR FIRST DEGREE MURDER FOR THE FOLLOWING SUBJECT. THIS WAS AFTER REVIEW WITH THE WINNEBAGO COUNTY STATE’S ATTORNEY. THE CHARGE AGAINST ANAYA IS MERELY AN ACCUSATION. HE IS PRESUMED INNOCENT ULESSS PROVEN GUILTY IN COURT. ANAYA IS NOT IN CUSTODY.       - LUIS EDUARDO ANAYA   (AKA/  “CHINO” )       MALE/ 22YRS OLD DOB 12-13-88/ ROCKFORD,ILLINOIS ANYONE WITH INFORMATION ON ANAYA IS ASKED TO CALLTHE SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT  (815/3196300) OR CRIME-STOPPERS (815/9637867).
