Narcotic Search Warrant/arrests

  On Wednesday August 7, 2013 Detectives and deputies of the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Police executed a search warrant at 5128 Zenith Parkway #1 in Machesney Park. During the execution of the warrant a large amount of suspected marijuana was recovered. The marijuana was packaged in bales and stacked inside of the house.The total weight of the suspected marijuana is in excess of 3000lbs.Street value is in excess of one million dollars. A search warrant was also executed at 7406 Shillington and a large amount of cash was recovered. As a result of the search warrants two people have been arrested and charged with Violation of the Illinois Cannabis Control Act. (Criminal Drug Conspiracy). Both have been lodged in the Winnebago County Jail without bond. They are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. Charged are: #1 Rogelio Mendez-Barreto (DOB 3-21-92/21yrs old) #2 Erasmo Mendez-Barreto (DOB 3-21-92/ 21yrs old) Rogelio and Erasmo Mendez-Barreto are twin brothers.
