On Wednesday January 22, 2014 at approximately 11:30a.m.detectives of the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department went to 2228 Clover Ave, Rockford, Illinois in an attempt to locate a wanted fugitive. (This person was not located).

 

Detectives were allowed entry to search for the suspect and during the search of the residence a small amount of suspected marijuana was located.

 

The occupant of the home was taken into custody: This person was identified as Jessica Kroeker (female DOB 7-6-84/29yrs old).

 

Detectives obtained a search warrant at this point and the rest of the home was searched. A marijuana growing operation was located in the upper level of the house. The operation involved artificial lighting and marijuana plants in growth for cultivation.

 

Also discovered during the search were two handguns, one with a serial number removed.

 

Additionally a large amount of growing mushrooms (which tested positive for the hallucinogen, Lysergic acid diethylamide/LSD) was recovered. The total gross weight in the growing stage was in excess of 40lbs.

 

Ms Kroeker has been charged with the following:

 

-       Violation of the Illinois Controlled Substances Act (possession of more than 900 grams of a substance containing LSD).

-       Unlawful possession of a Firearm

-       Possession of a Firearm by a Felon

-       Possession of a Firearm with a defaced serial number.

-       Violation of the Cannabis Control Act (possession of cannabis sativa plants)

 

Detectives of the Violent Crime Task Force assisted with the search warrant.

 

The charges against Ms Kroeker are merely accusations. She is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
