Possible Drowning/ Victim I.d.

  On Saturday June 4,2011 at approximately 7:09P.M. an incident took place on the Rock River (in the area of 8900 South Main St.). A male is presumed to have drown after having gone into the water after a confrontation on a pontoon. An extensive search of the river by multiple Fire Departments has failed to find the victim. The victim is identified as Casey Chandler Sheets (white male DOB 5-10-91/ 20 yrs old) of Rockford. An individual is in custody related to the incident on the pontoon. He is identified as Kristopher Alan Zaugg (male DOB 1-14-84/ 27yrs old) Zaugg is charged with Reckless Conduct and is being held in the Winnebago County Jail. Zaugg is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
