On Saturday January 11, 2014 at approximately 7:30P.M. Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies were sent to Swedish American Hospital in regards to two shooting victims.
Upon arrival they learned that two men with gunshot wounds had been transported to the hospital by friends.
Eric R. Lowry (20yrs old) was found to have a gunshot wound to the stomach.
Zackery A. Rouse (19yrs old) was found to have a gunshot wound to the lip.
The wounds do not appear to be life threatening.
The shooting took place at 3402 Azurite Pl.
Preliminary information indicates that the victims were in the residence with at least two other people when several males arrived and entered the house, at least one armed with a handgun.
A confrontation took place and shots were fired. The suspects fled and the victims were transported to the hospital. No arrests have been made.
Winnebago County Sheriff’s Detectives are conducting the follow-up investigation.
