Shots Fired

   On the late afternoon of Wednesday April 20, 2011 three separate homes in Winnebago County were struck by gunfire. The homes are located adjacent to I-90 and are on Belvidere Rd, and two homes on Meander Dr. No one was injured as a result of the gunfire. The Loves Park Police Department is also investigating several incidents of buildings being hit by gunfire near I-90, during the same time frame. The homes struck are on the west side of I-90. Winnebago County Sheriff’s Detectives are working jointly with the Loves Park Police Department, the Illinois State Police and Rockford P.D. Anyone with information is asked to call the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department (815/3196300) or Crime Stoppers (815/9637867).
