Stabbing Death/ 4949 Linden Rd

On Monday September 30, 2013 at approximately 11:33P.M. Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies were sent to an apartment at 4949 Linden Rd. in regards to a stabbing. Upon arrival the deputies located a 30yr old male deceased in apartment 1023 from an apparent stab wound.

The victim did not live in the apartment but was visiting.

A 27yr old female was located and taken into custody, however at this point has not been charged.

The incident appears to be domestic related and Sheriff’s Detectives are conducting a follow-up investigation working with the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office.

An autopsy will be conducted later today by the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office.

The name of the victim will be released by the Coroner’s office once family members have been contacted.
