Narrative: At 7:53PM on 8/22/15 Winnebago County Corrections Officers found a male inmate unresponsive from an apparent suicide attempt.
Â
Officers rendered medical aid and called Rockford Fire Department for medical assistance. The man was transported to Swedish American Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Sheriff’s Department Detectives are conducting an investigation into the incident at this time.

His identity is being withheld pending notification of the family.
